Stayed local on the weekend, and one of the high points was following the wheel of a neighbor, who’s a veteran of the LT100 and former top 20 finisher. Trails are just awesome now and my ankle is much better. A good confidence builder. Winter is coming, later this week they say….

the cajun

won't be long before the trees start to fall in this burn.

that is all......

Great to see you are back on the bike!

Thanks J. It’s nice to be able to put some force on the pedals again without wincing in pain.

It’s cool how the upper east stuff morphed into the better after the closures.
FWIW, that tower – bean dip loop still can’t be beat. But no complaints on the replacement – it filled the void.
Cajun is ragin.

There’s some great stuff that’s been added/refurbished up there, just since you’ve moved.
I think the tower/bean dip was impacted by that fire over the late summer. The google earth imagery only shows a small burn area, but it is more extensive.
I’m told that some of those familiar trails within the closure are so overgrown now, they are hard to even follow….
